The FCCIK was created on January 10, 1986 under the name of "French Business Association in Korea". The name and the by-laws have been changed on May 20, 1987. The FCCIK was born. It belongs to the network of French Chambers Overseas (84 Chambers around the world registered today). Most of the French companies in Korea joined the FCCIK. Morevover, changes in our rules, voted on April 16, 1990, and October 20, 1998, allow non-French organisations and companies to join the FCCIK, with full-member status.
